Around the Halls
When Gillies Restaurant was open in West Brattleboro, Holton Home would go for the Early Bird Specials twice a year. We had a lovely lady here who had dialysis three times a week and who LOVED swordfish!
We would always get a big crowd for seafood, and it was a pleasure to watch our residents enjoy each bite! We’ve changed that routine up a bit, and for the last little while we have been getting take-out dinners once a month. We have enjoyed pizza,
Chinese, Indian and Thai as well as special sandwiches that we eat upstairs, enjoying one another’s company.
We never know who will come, but we always have wonderful conversations – and often have fun desserts (last month it was the Vermont Country Deli’s tiramisu and a chocolate bomb!)
It is always a change of pace and something different to do. Come join us some time – we even eat outside when the weather is nice!
